An open water competition

An open water competition

Swimmers emerge from the water after completing the 2005 Eagle Technology Bays Swim in Auckland. Leading the group is the first woman to complete the course, Sarah Thompson. The competition, which is run by the Auckland Central Masters Swimming Association, is a harbour swim from St Heliers to Tāmaki. The New Zealand Masters Swimming Association and its affiliated clubs organise regular open water swimming competitions.
