Making red bean dumplings

By the 1990s, Chinese festivities attracted wide interest and participation. The annual Chinese bazaar held by the Wellington Anglican Chinese community allows other New Zealanders a chance to sample such delicacies as red bean dumplings, which are being prepared here for the bazaar in 1995 by Ng Soon Yee (left) and Mel Jean Chin.
