Rangitatau pā site

This photograph shows the site of Rangitatau , which is located above Tarakena Bay at the head of Wellington Harbour. It was a major fortification of the tribe Ngāi Tara, with whom Ngāi Tahu came into conflict after their move to the north of the South Island.
