Motutere Bay, 2009

Motutere Bay, 2009

Rex Tatton of Masterton began parking his tandem-wheeled caravan at Motutere Bay Holiday Park, on the south-eastern shore of Lake Taupō, in 1964. He kept coming back ever since to fish for trout and relax with his children, and later his grandchildren. On New Year's Eve 2009 Tatton's caravan occupied the number one spot in the campground, as befitted its longest-serving resident.
