Royal New Zealand Air Force Skyhawks and a Royal Australian Navy ship

Two Royal New Zealand Air Force Skyhawks fly alongside a Royal Australian Navy ship. In 1990 the New Zealand and Australian governments entered into an agreement whereby the Royal New Zealand Air Force would deploy Skyhawk fighter jets to provide air defence support flying for the Royal Australian Navy at Nowra in New South Wales, Australia. This came to an end in 2001 when the Royal New Zealand Air Force's air combat wing was disestablished.
