Party volunteers at work, 2008

Elections, although state-funded, are fought with the help of hundreds of party members. Here, two ACT party activists put up a hoarding for candidate Heather Roy in the Wellington Central electorate in 2008, finding a place between and behind the Alliance and Labour hoardings. Roy was not elected as an electorate MP, but she returned to Parliament as a list MP.
