Māori Affairs Minister Koro Wetere

Koro Wētere (Ngāti Maniapoto), seen here with Labour Prime Minister David Lange (right), was minister of Māori Affairs in the 1987 Labour government, the first to set out a list of treaty principles. The five basic principles were also referred to by later governments.
