Signing the Wellington Declaration

Signing the Wellington Declaration

United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and New Zealand Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Murray McCully sign the Wellington Declaration on 4 November 2010. While the declaration did not establish a formal defence obligation, it did commit the two countries to working together on practical projects in the Pacific and to regular high-level political dialogue.
