Waitangi Day: Community event, 2011

On Waitangi Day in 2011 a Kotahitanga Unity Concert was held at Paeroa. It was organised by four local marae and featured performances by New Zealand musicians and kapa haka groups, such as this group including both Māori and Pākehā children. Many Waitangi Day events in the 2000s emphasised culture, fun and togetherness.
