Looking towards Whangapoua Harbour

Matarangi Bluff dominates the foreground of this photograph of the eastern coast of the Coromandel Peninsula. Beyond it is Matarangi Beach, which stretches towards the narrow entrance to Whangapoua Harbour. The beach was subdivided in the early 1960s and is a popular holiday destination.
