Story: Hauraki–Coromandel region

Prana eco retreat

Prana eco retreat

The Prana eco retreat is at Ōhui on the eastern Coromandel coast between Pāuanui and Ōpoutere. Established in the early 1990s, it has places to stay, a performance stage, production studio and regular festivals with workshops, music, art and dance. Some areas of the Coromandel Peninsula became home to alternative lifestylers and communities from the 1970s.
