Tears and prayers at a service of the Samoan Assembly of God in Berhampore, Wellington, in 1980. This Pentecostal church was formed in American Samoa in 1928 and spread to countries with significant Samoan populations, arriving in New Zealand in 1962. In the 2010s it had several 'mega churches', each with congregations of thousands.
