The working world (1st of 2)

The working world

For men, working life meant going out into the world. The men in this group standing outside the Otorohanga Times newspaper office in about 1900 did a variety of jobs. For a businessman, newspaper editor, printer or cart driver, getting out and about was just part of the job. Women were largely excluded from this male world.
