Rowing on Lake Karāpiro

Rowing on Lake Karāpiro

Hamilton Boys’ High School rowers follow tradition and throw Matt Cameron, their cox, into Lake Karāpiro after winning the Maadi Cup in 2007. This event is contested at the national rowing championship competition for secondary schools, one of many national rowing competitions held on Lake Karāpiro. The Rowing New Zealand High Performance Centre, which includes a huge gymnasium, function rooms, storage and other facilities, was completed in time for the 2010 World Rowing Championships.
