Invercargill looking north (1st of 2)

Invercargill looking north

Invercargill was thriving when this shot was taken in May 1955. In the foreground is Otakaro Park and the water tower; behind are the larger Queens Park, the northern suburbs of Avenal and Gladstone, and the suburb of Windsor, at right. The Tākitimu Mountains lie in the distance, across the Southland plains.
