Story: Transport of animals

Double-decker stock truck, 1940

Double-decker stock truck, 1940

This old Commer truck from Wainui-O-Mata Transport is loaded with sheep. The animals are large and very woolly, so the driver has not been able to fit many on. Both decks appear to have four pens, with two sheep to a pen. The loading ramp is very simple, with mānuka sticks for side-rails.
