Marketing venison in Europe

Marketing venison in Europe

New Zealand is the major world supplier of venison. Germany, Sweden, France and other European countries take most of New Zealand’s venison exports, which make up more than 80% of export earnings from deer. Germany is the largest single market, followed by the US, which receives about 12% of New Zealand’s export venison. These labels promote the meat in German, English, French and Spanish.
