Church in Savai‘i

After the arrival of missionaries in 1830, Samoans quickly converted to Christianity, especially Congregationalism. The church and fa‘asamoa (Samoan culture) are closely intertwined, and very large and beautiful churches are a characteristic sight in Samoa.
