Welcoming Scottish children, 1940

Labour Prime Minister Peter Fraser (centre) and National Party leader Adam Hamilton (second from right) – both of Scots ancestry – join a crowd of Scottish children in Wellington on 27 September 1940. The young visitors arrived under the Overseas Reception Scheme.
