Health Action Trust

A not-for-profit organisation which provides peer-led mental health services as well as health promotion in the Nelson/Tasman region in collaboration with other groups locally and nationally.

Heart Foundation

An organisation directed at reducing the rate of deaths from heart disease in New Zealand and supporting those diagnosed with heart disease, health professionals and researchers in this field.

Organisations and networks that provide peer support, advocacy and opportunities for consumer engagement relating to mental health services. 

Multiple Sclerosis New Zealand

A not-for-profit organisation that works to improve the quality of life of those with multiple sclerosis and their families. It provides support, education and advocacy for those with multiple sclerosis and awareness training for everyone.

Nationwide Health and Disability Advocacy Service

A free advocacy service that operates independently from health and disability service providers, government agencies and district health boards.

Plunket

Major provider of support services for the development, health and well-being of children under five years old. Adopts a family/whānau and community-based approach.

Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Pikiao

Health services provided by Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Pikiao, including GP services, child heath, Pacific Island community health interventions and access mirimiri (massage) and the services of a Māori traditional health practitioner.

Women’s Health Action

An organisation which works to improve the health and well-being of women, their families and communities. A major advocate for breast feeding.
