Lovers’ walk

Cities provided ample opportunities for men and women to socialise and woo partners. Some areas of cities attracted courting couples. The bush of Wellington’s Newtown Park was one such area, and is lampooned in this postcard titled ‘the lovers’ walk’, produced around 1910.
