Story: Rivers

‘Clutha V’ by Denis Glover

In 1977 Denis Glover wrote River poems, a verse sequence protesting against plans to dam the Clutha River to provide electricity for the national grid. ‘Clutha V’ recalls the view of Otago rivers from the Crown Ranges, and the natural and human landscapes through which they flow.
