A radio schedule from the Listener, 18 April 1955

This is a section of the radio schedule from the Listener for 18 April 1955. The YD and X stations had mostly light or popular music, comedy, documentaries and radio dramas. The YA and YZ stations aimed at a more middlebrow audience with light classical, comedy, documentaries and drama. They also included comedy shows such as the BBC's Take it from here, along with some jazz programmes such as 1YZ's On the down beat and 2YA's Rhythm on record. The YA and YZ stations were used to broadcast programmes for the Correspondence School. YC station played highbrow classical music.
