Ian Prior in Tokelau, 1971

Ian Prior studied epidemiology, including the health impacts of dietary changes, among Tokelauans in their home islands and in New Zealand. His Tokelau island migrant study achieved world renown. Prior also carried out similar public health studies in Rarotonga and among Tūhoe communities in the Urewera.
