Nutritional anaemia poster, 1940s (1st of 2)

Nutritional anaemia poster, 1940s

This poster from the 1940s encouraged people to eat iron-rich foods to prevent nutritional anaemia. Research into nutrition was one of the areas the Medical Research Council focused on in the late 1930s and 1940s. Most of this work was carried out at Otago Medical School under the leadership of Muriel Bell.
