Māori Women's Welfare League conference, 1953

Te Rōpū Wāhine Māori Toko i te Ora, the Māori Women's Welfare League, holds its annual conference in 1953, two years after it was established. The league has played a vital role in health, education and welfare for Māori, particularly in urban areas.
