Story: Freight and warehousing

Coastal shipping

Coastal shipping

Pacifica Shipping vessels load and discharge coastal cargo at Lyttelton port in 2004. On the left is the Spirit of Resolution, a load-on, load-off container coastal vessel. These self-loading ships are designed to operate independently of wharf facilities. On the right is the Spirit of Competition, a stern ramp RORO (roll-on, roll-off) vessel.
