‘Taranaki’ (1st of 3)

‘Taranaki’

In 1929 an English immigrant to New Zealand, Christopher Perkins, saw the ‘marvellous light’ as the key to painting in the country. Two years later he used this approach in his oil painting of Mt Taranaki (Mt Egmont) with a dairy factory in the foreground.
