160th anniversary

In 2018, the Kīngitanga marked its 160th anniversary with celebrations at Tūrangawaewae marae in Ngāruawahia. Kīngi Tūheitia Pōtatau Te Wherowhero VII led the events. Watch the celebrations in this recording made on the day.
