Won Joon Cho picking up rubbish, Auckland, 2004

Korean student Won Joon Cho formed the Korean Volunteer Team in 2004 to dispel a perception among some people that Asian students dropped litter and did not care about their environment. He and his team began cleaning up rubbish from Auckland’s inner city streets using large tongs especially imported from Korea.
