The first issue of the New Zealand Woman’s Weekly came out in December 1932. Published by Otto Williams and Audrey Argall, both experienced journalists, the magazine was a risky business, started in the depths of the 1930s depression. However, it did well, and its regular appearance has been part of New Zealand life for many decades.
