International Festival of the Arts, 2012

Since 1986 Wellington's biennial festival of the arts has provided an opportunity for audiences to enjoy a wide range of performances and exhibitions from around the world.  This clip provides a small sample of the offerings in 2012 and focuses on Michel Tuffery's spectacular sound-and-light show about James Cook's first contact with the peoples of the Pacific, which was displayed on the outside of the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa.
