Te Ripowai Higgins

Te Ripowai Higgins (Ngāi Tūhoe) began teaching at Victoria University of Wellington in early 1990s, eventually becoming senior lecturer and head of Te Kawa a Māui, the School of Māori Studies. In this extract from the Māori-language television programme Waka huia, Higgins talks about her work.
