Story: Agricultural processing industries

Carpet manufacture

In the 20th century carpet manufacture became one of the major items produced by woollen mills. By 1968, for example, New Zealand mills produced 10,000 tonnes in total. This 1964 film, Wall to wall, shows the highly mechanised process for making carpet.
