Story: Samoans

Maiava Eteuati Ete

One of the most talented of a number of Samoan comedians is Maiava Eteuati Ete. He teamed with Tofiga Fepulea’i to perform a highly successful show, Laughing with Samoans, which filled theatres in 2003. In this extract from the show, Ete imagines a conversation with a ‘fob’, the Samoan term for someone ‘fresh off the boat’ from Samoa.
