National Heart Foundation 10th anniversary stamp

This health stamp commemorates the 10th anniversary of the National Heart Foundation in 1978. The National Heart Foundation funds research into heart disease and promotes healthy lifestyle choices. New Zealander Brian Barratt-Boyes was a pioneer researcher in heart surgery, including groundbreaking work on aortic valves. Barbara Heslop carried out important research on the immunology involved in heart surgery.
