Story: Classical musicians

Keith Lewis and Patrick Power

Keith Lewis and Patrick Power

New Zealanders Keith Lewis (left) and Patrick Power were the centre of media attention when both sang in Monteverdi's Il ritorno d'Ulisse in patria at Glyndebourne in England in 1979. The coincidence of two lyric tenors from a small remote country being cast in the same opera caused much interest. At this stage both singers were establishing their reputations in Europe.
