This is the interior of the Zero Energy House in Auckland's Point Chevalier, which was designed by engineers Jo Woods and Shay Brazier and built in 2012. Its aim was to achieve zero power bills by generating its own electricity, using energy-efficient features and a solar roof on its northern side. Brazier throught the house could save over $50,000 in power costs during the next 25 years.
