Roimata, 1988

The cast rehearse for the original 1988 production of Riwia Brown's play Roimata – left to right, Airihia Bristowe, Poto Stephens and Apirana Taylor. Brown began working in theatre as an actor with the Wellington-based company Te Ohu Whakaari. Roimata was her first play. It premiered at the Depot theatre in Wellington, and was later adapted for television.
