First night of A Moorish maid

First night of A Moorish maid

New Zealand composer Alfred Hill's opera A Moorish maid premiered in Auckland on 26 June 1906 and launched the singing career of soprano Rosina Buckman. It ran for a week to full houses and was also staged in Wellington and Sydney. This is the first-night crowd at His Majesty's Theatre in Auckland.
