Michael Fifii (right), captain of the Fiji team, makes a break on his Somali opponent during the final of the Upper Hutt Ethnic Community Football Tournament. Despite this momentary advantage, Somalia won the final 5–2. Football in New Zealand attracts a very wide range of players and supporters, and, reflecting its status as the 'international game', it is popular among many different ethnic groups.
