TAB rugby betting

TAB rugby betting

During the 1990s the TAB increased the range of sports that punters could bet on. In June 1996 it opened its book for the first time on a rugby match – the Bledisloe Cup test between the All Blacks and the Wallabies in Wellington. Here TAB employee Christina Harris prepares for an expected onslaught of punters. Those that bet on an All Blacks win would have been happy: New Zealand thumped Australia 43–6.
