Levin Golf Club

Levin Golf Club

This is the original clubhouse at the Levin golf course soon after the club had been established in 1919. The primitive nature of the hut suggests how difficult it was to get resources for sports in small towns and rural areas. Many sports clubs faltered after a few years of existence. In this case the old Lakeside course functioned from 1919 to 1924, then went into recess for a few years before being revived in 1933.
