Clive River

The Clive River runs across the Heretaunga plains and merges at the coast with the Ngaruroro and Tūtaekurī rivers. Clive township, on the banks of the river, is vulnerable to flooding. The Hawke’s Bay Regional Council dredges the river regularly to reduce the flood risk and improve the water flow.
