Pony club (1st of 3)

Pony club

Pony clubs have flourished in New Zealand since the 1940s. They allow both city and country children to learn the basics of horse handling and care, and riding skills. In the early 2000s there were 82 member clubs of the New Zealand Pony Clubs Association. These young riders are members of the Lyalldale Pony Club, in 2005.
