Emu chicks

Murray Goss, pictured with these four-month-old emu chicks, was one of the pioneering emu farmers in New Zealand. There was widespread interest in emu farming in the 1990s, but recently the difficulties of getting birds slaughtered for meat have led to a decline in the industry and the Emu Association has gone into recess.
