Mission station and village

In 1865 John Kinder photographed ‘The Revd Mr Spencer’s 1865 Mission station and native village on the Wairoa river, Tarawera lake, NZ’. Kinder was an Anglican clergyman who saw spiritual qualities in the New Zealand bush.
