Māori and non-Māori rates of suicide, 1996–2015

During the period 1996–2015 rates of suicide for both Māori men and women were consistently higher than for non-Māori. The figures above include all ages, but in fact the disparity between Māori and non-Māori were greatest amongst males aged 15–44 and females aged 15–24 and 25–44.
