Story: Ethnic and religious intolerance

The New Zealand Social Crediter magazine

The New Zealand Social Crediter magazine

The headline story in this edition of the New Zealand Social Crediter magazine in June 1952 warns that the World Bank is 'in the hands of an alien group'. This was a code for Jews. This association is made explicit in connection with the 1944 Bretton Woods monetary agreement, which is described as drafted by an 'ex Russian Jew', Harry Dexter White. In the 1930s, when Social Credit emerged in Canada and then began to have considerable influence in New Zealand, its anti-Semitism was more blatant.
