The cover of the National Naturist Review for 1960 depicts a family group enjoying naturism in the outdoors. From the mid-1950s the New Zealand Sunbathing Association, which published the Review, made efforts to portray the movement as a decent, family-oriented activity. By the 1960s and 1970s there was much greater public acceptance of naturism.
